Pearson, the world's leading learning company, has announced plans to publish a new set of Readers in Amharic to help support literacy in Ethiopia. The new Readers are part of the well-known Junior African Writers Series, a series of over 200 Readers developed in Africa by African authors.
Pearson will be at the British Council Ethiopia Education Exhibition and Conference on the 22 - 24 March 2012 at the Addis Ababa Hilton International Hotel. Research & Development Manager for Ethiopia, Begna Simesso, will be available at the Pearson stand to answer questions both about the new Amharic Readers and about Pearson's new publishing for Ethiopia.
Pearson is also planning to publish:
- a new grammar series for Ethiopia, 'Complete Grammar'
- a new series of Revision Guides for Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Maths to help students revise for their the Grade 10 EGSECE and Grade 12 EHEECE National Examinations.
Mr Simesso said he was looking forward to meeting other stakeholders in Ethiopian education:
